It’s guaranteed; everything ends.

Your main source of income will one day be gone.  Relationships end, sometimes it’s death, other times divorce, or just an argument with a friend or family member that can never be resolved.

Every situation we find ourselves in is only transient.  So there is some good to go with the bad.  No matter how bad we think it is, give it some time.   It’ll change.

The one thing we know;  The hero always dies in the end.  There is no escape.  No reset button.  No God Mode.

It’s really what we do in between now and the end that matters.  Life is short.  Sometimes it’s really really short.

People just die all around us all the time.  As I get older in life, this becomes more obvious.  Friends of my parents are just about all dead now.  Several people my age I grew up with are gone.

As a younger man, I was Immortal.  As I age (hopefully with a bit of grace), I start to count the sand in the hourglass with a bit more interest.   How much do I have left?

What am I going to do with what I have left?  I’m going to continue to leave my mark on my family, on my friends, on my girl and on those of you that take the time to read my stuff.

Thank you, by the way, for reading my stuff when you do.  It is humbling and rewarding.  I appreciate you.

It’s guaranteed; everything ends.
