Loving Life

Do you ever have one of those days where ya sit back and go, “damn this is good!”

The heat is intense here in Texas. Sweating like a two dollar whore at a Baptist revival. You walk outside and the humidity sucks the breath right out of your lungs. And yet with all the fun of living in a blast furnace, life keeps getting better and better.

I got my three miles in at 1pm. Nothing feels as good as exhausting myself on a weekend.  My Curvey is waiting for me to get back.  She has orders not to call 911 until a certain amount of time has passed.

Endorphins kicked in.  Hit the wall and climbed right over.  I’m just fucking happy.  I never want to look a gift horse in the mouth.  But why am I so damn happy?

I’m living my life the way I want to, not the way others would have me live it.  Being my own man, cutting my own path thru life’s jungle.  Doing hard stuff.  Because I can. Because winning is just fun.

“Comfort is the enemy of growth.”

We get sedentary.  The feelings of success can intoxicate and you become like the junkie in the opium den.  Dulls the senses. Stops your growth.  Screw that   If you’re  not moving forward, what’s the point?

Establishing the distinction between “what do I want” and “What do all these other people want me to do” gives valuable insight.  Love your life.  It really is all your fault.  Truly.  Own your shit, men!
